Fried Calamari Ingredients

  • 125 gr Squid Ring
  • 125 gr Tiger Shrimp
  • 200 gr Panko
  • 200 gr Wheat Flour
  • 5 Eggs
  • 2 Garlic Clove
  • 50 ml Olive oil
  • 500 ml Oil
  • 30 gr Capers
  • 100 gr Mayonnaise
  • 100 gr Carrot
  • 100 gr Onion
  • 100 gr Parley
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to Make Fried Calamari - Step by Step

  1. In a mixing bowl add the squids, shrimp, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, parsley and mix.

  2. Toss the calamari rings and shrimp into the flour mixture, coating them evenly. Shake off any excess flour. Toss them in the egg and then the panko and set a side.

  3. Tartara Sauce: Blend carrots and pass it through a cloth strainer, same with the onions and parsley. Mix all this vegetables with the mayonnaise and add lime juice, salt, pepper, boild eggs, capers and mix.

  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat. You will need enough oil to submerge the calamari and shrimp pieces.

  5. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcooking.

  6. Once all the calamari and shrimp is fried, transfer them to a serving plate. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the fried calamari and shrimp to add flavor, if desired.Serve the fried calamari immediately while hot. You can serve it as is or with lemon wedges and a dipping sauceENJOY!
