How to Make Yuca Arepas with Cheese - Step by Step

  1. Heat the water over medium heat, add the yucas and let boil until soft, add the salt.

  2. Remove from the water and mash the yucca in a bowl.

  3. Add grated cheese to the cassava mass.

  4. Cut pieces of banana leaf.

  5. Create cassava dough balls with your hands and place them in the center of the banana leaf and crush them in a pataconera or with a plate.

  6. When they have the shape ready, we are going to brown them in a pan using the base banana leaf.

  7. Add cheese and enjoy!
